Jaylinn Hawkins had a great start to his senior season with eight catches for 294 yards and four touchdowns in the opener and the four-star receiver is excited about things to come.
"It was really exciting," Hawkins said.

"To come out there with the team, it was the first game of my senior year. It's my last year of doing it for high school before I move on to the big leagues. I'm just enjoying it, doing my thing, doing the things I couldn't do last year and having fun."
The Buena Park, Calif., standout was supposed to take his first official visit to Oregon this past weekend but at the last minute it was postponed. Hawkins hopes to get to Eugene in the next few weeks and still has a lot of interest in the Ducks.
"My pops wanted to go and check it out, see what it's about, too," Hawkins said. "We can't fly him out there so we just postponed it for the perfect schedule and the perfect timing. If anything, we'll go in the next couple weeks.
"I'm excited. All my trips are going to be exciting because those are all great experiences. I'm going to see what all the schools are about and see what's best for me and see what really fits for me. That's why I'm really excited about my trips."
So far, the four-star receiver has official trips planned for Oregon and Washington. Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Colorado State, Fresno State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State are some of Hawkins' other offers but he's not sure where else he wants to visit.
"I want to go everywhere," Hawkins said. "You only get five so I really have to bunker down and really look at the schools, see which ones I want to visit."
Plus, others are showing interest. Rated as the No. 33 receiver in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, Hawkins said he's hearing more from Nebraska, USC, Kansas State and Wisconsin.
