Hawkins sees interest ramp up

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Jaylinn Hawkins said he was thrilled to receive an offer from Oregon and the Ducks definitely look good in his recruitment but plenty of other teams are getting involved as well.
"I just got Oregon, that was my last offer, and now I'm hearing from Alabama, Florida State, all the Pac-12 along with Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin," Hawkins said.

"Wisconsin is pretty close (to offering). I'm not sure about Nebraska or Michigan. I'm trying to think. Recruiting has been crazy."
Oregon looks really strong for the Buena Park, Calif., four-star receiver who has shined this week at the B2G Elite Camp at Cal Lutheran.
Hawkins won't admit the Ducks are his favorite but they're definitely up there.
"That was a pretty solid offer," Hawkins said. "I have high interest in the school. We'll see where it goes from there. I'll take my trip. They're up there."
Hawkins, who wants to visit Arizona State and Oregon this summer along with a possible trip to Cal, said UCLA, Arizona State and Arizona are three other programs that stand out in his recruitment other than the Ducks.
The Bruins have not offered yet but Hawkins is definitely interested in that program and he said the coaches have talked him up recently. He plans to camp in Westwood next week.
"Coach told me basically, 'We want to offer you but we've been trying to figure out which side of the ball we want to offer you on,'" Hawkins said. "I also play DB, too, so they were saying they really like me at receiver but they also want to offer as a cornerback.
"It doesn't really matter to me. I like both sides of the ball even though I've been showcasing myself at receiver doing these 7on7s."
