Hawkins reworks visit schedule

Jaylinn Hawkins has re-arranged his official visit schedule but the four-star wide receiver is still planning to focus only on Pac-12 programs.
The Buena Park, Calif., standout will now visit Arizona State this upcoming weekend and he has pushed back his Oregon trip until the weekend of Jan. 16.

"I switched the Oregon visit," Hawkins said. "I'm doing Oregon in January and I'm going to Arizona State this week."
Hawkins, rated as the No. 24 wide receiver and the No. 232 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, is excited about his trip to Tempe and he's going to give the program a really close look to see how he would fit in the program.
"I like them a lot," Hawkins said of the Sun Devils. "I'm just going out there to see if it's a good fit for me."
His Oregon trip in January will be crucial because Hawkins has talked up the Ducks for some time. Getting to campus and spending the weekend there could be big as his recruitment continues into the final weeks before signing day.
"It's kind of a big one," Hawkins said of Oregon.
That won't be the last visit for Hawkins, who has already taken trips to Utah and Washington. Heading to Cal on the weekend of Jan. 23 should wrap things up and then the four-star receiver should be prepared to make his choice.
"They're pretty up there, too," Hawkins said.
With three visits remaining, the Buena Park standout does have some top schools but no frontrunner at this point. That should become clearer as January plays out.
"I don't have a favorite," Hawkins said. "I just have kind of a top six or a top five."
In his senior season, Hawkins finished with 80 receptions for 1,476 yards and 16 touchdowns.
