Jaylinn Hawkins is planning official visits but still plans to make his commitment much later.
The four-star wide receiver from Buena Park, Calif., said last weekend at the Huntington Beach 7on7 that he is planning an early trip to Oregon and then will also see Washington.
More official visits are definitely being planned, but those are the two Hawkins knows about at this point in his recruitment.
"I'm taking one to Oregon on August 30 and then I should be taking one to Washington," Hawkins said. "Those are the two planned right now.
"All my trips are big. (The Oregon trip) will be just as big as the others. I planned it early so I can get out early, see what's up, see what everything is about and then from there on, think, talk to my family and make my decision."
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect recently landed an offer from Arizona, and the Wildcats are now under serious consideration. No favorites have emerged yet because many other programs could get involved through his senior season.
Rated as the No. 35 receiver in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, Hawkins performed well at the UCLA Elite Camp this summer and the Bruins are talking more to him, but an offer has not been presented yet.
"It's still a little early," Hawkins said. "It's just early. I just have to make sure on my decision because it's a life decision.
"I've been talking to the (UCLA) coaches still. Coach (Eric) Yarber is still talking to me. We'll see if they offer. If they offer late, an offer is an offer."
