Hawkins likes SEC powerhouse

Jaylinn Hawkins had a good performance at the UCLA camp last week and he's firmly established himself as one of the top 2015 wide receivers in Southern California.
The Buena Park, Calif., prospect hopes that translates to more offers soon but Hawkins is already off to a good start with three including one offer from the Pac-12.

Oregon State, San Diego State and San Jose State have offered Hawkins, who said he liked his experience at UCLA and hopes the Bruins keep recruiting him.
"I like (wide receivers) coach (Eric) Yarber a lot," Hawkins said.
"He's a good receivers coach and the atmosphere is cool. I have a couple friends who go there and the school is cool. It's a good education, very hard to get in, so it's a cool place and I like it."
A couple weekends ago, Hawkins attended the Oregon State satellite camp and especially liked the coaches there. The Beavers have already offered and the 2015 recruit said he's definitely going to keep a close eye on them as his recruitment continues.
"I was at their camp and the coaches are super cool," Hawkins said. "They're great coaches and really cool. I'm coachable and I'll do what they say and they've given me good tips. They get you turned up and they know how to have fun but they're serious and they know when to go."
USC, Georgia and Northwestern are three other programs showing early interest in the Buena Park standout. The 6-foot-1, 166-pound recruit said he likes Georgia the most and if he landed that offer the Bulldogs might be tough to beat.
"I like Georgia a lot right now," Hawkins said.
"If they offered, I'd consider committing. All my options are open right now. I like how they throw to their receivers and they have great school spirit. Everybody around there is family-oriented and you're welcome there. The school is nice and the campus is nice."
