Hawkins hearing from many others

Jeremiah Hawkins has had a good summer.
The 2017 three-star from Buena Park, Calif., landed an offer from Nebraska - to go along with one from Utah - and he's hearing from a bunch of new programs.

Hawkins said Washington, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, Notre Dame and UCLA are all getting involved and he's hopeful more offers could be coming soon.
"Those schools could be offering soon," Hawkins said. "I've been talking to them a lot so I could definitely see an offer coming soon in the next few weeks."
His performance at the Nebraska satellite camp in Santa Monica, Calif., earned Hawkins a big offer after he dominated the workout that night.
The Huskers definitely have his attention early in his recruitment.
"I love the staff a lot after doing the camp and winning the MVP," Hawkins said.
"I just felt like the coaches liked me as soon as I showed up. I was talking to them before the camp a little but not as much as I do now. They're all friendly and they were all nice to me.
"Once I started doing the camp and running around and making people fall, coaches were like they needed to offer me. They offered me after the camp and it was a great experience to do their camp and I was just blessed to be a part of it."
Nebraska has definitely made a major impression on the Buena Park prospect but he's not rushing a thing heading into his junior season.
"I'm going to take it slow going into my junior year because I still have a lot of schools I want to see," Hawkins said.
"I'm not just going to let a big-time school offer me and jump on it but they're definitely a school I will consider choosing. It just depends on how recruiting picks up."
