Hawkins close to major offers

Jaylinn Hawkins has recently added more offers from Boise State and Colorado State and the four-star wide receiver believes even more could be on the way.
The Buena Park, Calif., standout said this past weekend that Oregon is showing a lot more interest and that Arizona is getting more involved. Hawkins feels both could be close to offering soon.

"I almost got Oregon," Hawkins said. "(One of the coaches) was saying basically it's an offer but they want me to play more on the defensive side of the ball. He came by the school and then we talked.
"Of course I'm open to (playing defense). I'm an athlete so it doesn't really matter which side of the ball I play. I just want to play this year, see where I feel, keep praying about it and that will tell where I play on the next level."
The 6-foot, 180-pound four-star recruit said Oregon was especially close to offering him when the Ducks visited Buena Park but he realizes that staff is sometimes slow with sending out offers.
Hawkins is willing to wait.
"They already know what I can do," Hawkins said. "The coach almost gave me the offer stamp. The way they offer is they're very slow with the offers. He was saying he had three offers and most likely he'll be back to give me one."
Arizona sounds even closer to offering Hawkins and it could come at summer camp.
"Arizona basically said it's 99.9 percent, all the coaches want to offer," Hawkins said. "They just want me to come to the camp in Carson, come show myself to the coaches and most likely they'll offer me there."
So far, the Buena Park standout has been offered by Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Colorado State, Fresno State, Northwestern, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah and Washington State.
Hawkins plans to visit Stanford this summer and said he does not have any frontrunners yet since he's still waiting on more offers.
