Hawkeyes staying on top of fullback

Perryville (Mo.) St. Vincent fullback Waylon Richardet has two schools that are toward the top of his list right now, but they aren't alone.
"The biggest school sending me stuff right now is Iowa," the 6-foot, 224-pound Richardet said. "I get two or three letters per week from them. Indiana sends quite a bit of stuff, too and earlier on, I got a couple from Missouri.

"Right now, I would say that Iowa and Missouri are probably the top schools for me. I don't have any scholarship offers, yet."
The letters have included information on each schools' football camps.
"I am thinking about going to the one at Iowa or maybe one at Missouri. Iowa is really interesting to me. I haven't decided yet which one. I'll make that decision sometime before long."
The 2004 season saw Richardet make the move from the offensive line for St. Vincent to a back in the offensive backfield
"Last year was my first year carrying the ball," he said. "The first seven games we split the carries because we had a lot of seniors. I had about 200 yards and three touchdowns at that point. Then I ended up with 16 touchdowns and about 900 yards. My last six or seven games, I had over 100 yards in each and 13 touchdowns in that stretch. I also play linebacker. I'm fine with either fullback or linebacker. I'd like fullback because I like carrying the ball."
