Hawgs, Vols and Rebs to battle

One of the more impressive players this past weekend at the U.S. Army All-America Bowl was Warren, Ark., standout receiver Bret Smith. It’s easy to see why teams from all over the Southeast are battling to land his commitment.
“I think the game was great for me,” Smith, who is 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, said. “I learned a lot this week from the players, coaches and the surroundings. It was a lot like a college atmosphere, and that might help me make the transition a little easier.”

A transition to where?
“That’s a good question,” Smith said with a laugh.
“I’m going to visit Ole Miss this weekend, and then I go to Tennessee on January 17 and then Arkansas on January 24.”
Smith has people pulling him in a lot of different directions. One of his teammates is heading to Tennessee, but then everybody in Warren is pushing him to be a Hawg.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “I’m really going to check the places out and see who wants me the most.”
He claims to not have a leader at this point.
