Hawgs get verbals from hometown duo

Arkansas has picked up verbal commitments from a pair of hometown stars.
Fayetteville High School wide receiver Cedric Logan says he and teammate Woody Wilson, a defensive back, gave their commitments to the Razorbacks this weekend.

“We still want to take our visits and see what all is out there, but we’re committed to Arkansas,” he said. “It’s really cool because we’re best of friends. We do everything together, on and off the field. We started playing football together a long time ago, and we’re going to probably end our careers together in college. Not too many people can say they have a chance to do that with their best friend.”
Logan (5-11, 160, 4.5) picked the Razorbacks over interest from Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas A&M. As a junior, he caught 42 passes for 652 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had 131 yards rushing.
“Arkansas is kind of rebuilding now, changing their offense a little bit,” he said. “I feel like I fit in real well with what they’re going to be doing. It’s a good fit for me. Plus, it’s close to home, and I just felt real comfortable with their coaching staff. They were real nice and straight with me during the whole recruiting process. It was a good experience.”
Academically, Logan has close to a 3.0 GPA and has scored a 19 on his ACT.
Wilson (6-1, 180, 4.6) projects as a safety, but also plays quarterback for FHS.
