Hawgs closer to landing Baker

Osceola, Ark., receiver Chris Baker is still high on the Hawgs, especially after a good official visit this weekend.
"I would give it a nine," Baker, who is 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, said.

"I already knew all the coaches and have been around the campus, so it was a good chance for me to hang out with the players and be around the team more."
Baker said DeCorri Birmingham hosted him on the trip.
"He's both cool and crazy," Baker said. "We went to the Juvenile concert. You should have seen him. He was having a lot of fun. And then we went to some parties. It was everything I expected it to be."
But Baker said the Arkansas coaches did not pressure him into a commitment and he's going to take several other trips.
Behind Arkansas is Tennessee, followed by Iowa and Memphis. He's set to visit Iowa on Dec. 14 and will take his trips to Tennessee and Memphis at later points as he attempts to work them around his basketball schedule.
"I'm still about 70 or 80 percent sold on Arkansas," Baker said. "The coaches are cool. They want me to take other visits because they said I won't like it better anywhere else."
