Hawaiian safety makes college choice

BYU has always recruited the Hawaiian Islands as well as anyone and once again they took a page out of their recruiting handbook by landing one of the Aloha State's best players in safety Shiloah Te'o (6-0, 185, 4.5) from Kahuku, Hawai'i.
"Yes Shiloah committed to BYU and he didn't even tell the family," David Te'o, Shiloah's Dad said. "I heard about it from his coach.

"I went into his room asked Shiloah if he had anything to say to me," Teo's Dad said. "He kind of looked at me like what's wrong with you and then I asked him if he committed to BYU.
"Shiloah said, oh yeah, I did speak to (BYU head coach) Bronco Mendenhall today and committed."
Right now if Te'o stays the same size, he will play safety for BYU and if he grows he will move to linebacker,
The Cougars pick up a player who is aggressive, physical and is a downhill player. He has a dominating presence and controls the middle of the field.
Te'o earned first-team all-state and first-team all-league honors as a junior after accounting for 61 tackles and two picks. One of his interceptions he took back to the house for a touchdown.
Te'o also scored two touchdowns as a running back in 2006.
Te'o recently attended the USC Rising Seniors camp and had a very strong performance. He was even complimented for his work at the camp by Trojan defensive back coach Rocky Seto.
The Cougars get a good one here with Te'o.
