Hawaiian looking out of state

Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha standout Mana Lolotai is ranked as the No. 4 player in Hawaii and after a strong performance at the Los Angeles NIKE Training Camp back in April it's easy to see why teams are heavily recruiting the 6-foot, 216-pound outside linebacker.
Colorado, Oregon State and a new offer from Utah top his list, but he's also getting heavy I nterest from programs like UNLV, Washington and Hawaii.

"Hawaii tried to contact me recently in the mail," Lolotai said. "I've been getting letters from Colorado, Utah, UNLV and Washington lately. I haven't gotten around to making any calls the last few weeks, though. I've been real busy."
"I think the Colorado offer is still open. Utah talked to my parents, but I haven't gotten to talk to Utah. My dad talked to me about Utah the other day and told me they had offered, but he wanted me to keep my options open for now."
The offers do impress Lolotai, though.
"I don't have a leader now," he said. "I have family in Utah, Colorado, and Washington so I have people I can stay with and be supported by. Offers from those places would be real good. Otherwise, I'm open to anything.
"I'm probably going to go away for school. I like it in Hawaii, but I probably won't stay here. I'm looking for the best scholarship of any school. Whoever will give me a full-ride will be real nice. I can't afford my college tuition so I'm hoping to be able play football so I can get a college education."
Lolotai is a good football player, so he'll get that shot.
"I'm just mostly around the ball," he said. "I'm always all around the ball. Where ever it is, that's where I need to be. I push myself to always be next to the ball or near it after every play. I try to hit real hard. I need to work on keeping my hands up and wrapping the guy up instead of going for the ball."
