Hawaiian behemoth gets first offer

A Hawaiian big man received his first D-I offer and there are likely to be a bunch more before it is all said and done. He is already hearing from teams from the Pac-10, Big 12, SEC and the Mountain West.
The player is question is Ramsey Feagai (6-2, 320, 5.3) from Honolulu (Hawai'i) Radford.

Feagai received his first offer from UNLV and he will camp with his teammates at the Rebel football camp this summer.
Besides UNLV, Feagai is also getting recruiting attention from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington, Colorado and Tennessee.
"Ramsey is strong as an ox," Radford coach Fred Salanoa said. "He benched 225 pounds, 23 times."
"Ramsey is very committed to being the best he can be," Salanoa said. "He has lost over 25 pounds this off-season when he heard that UNLV offensive line coach Keith Uperesa thought he would be a better player at a lighter weight."
"Ramsey is only 16 years old and he's just hitting stride as a football player," Salanoa said. "He will only be 17 when he graduates."
"Ramsey is very raw, but he has tremendous potential as a football player," Salanoa said. "He's a great kid and very coachable."
"Ramsey has the best feet on the team," Salanoa said. "When we do latters, he flies through them. He has great agility and coordination."
"As a blocker, Ramsey is a beast," Salanoa said. "If he connects with you with his hands, you are going down."
Another thing to like about Feagai is his versatility. After playing offensive guard for most of his career at Radford he will try to play center as a senior.
The feeling is center may end up being his best position. If he does indeed become a true center prospect, that will do nothing but enhance his recruiting status.
