Hawaii standout sets visits

Three-star defensive lineman/offensive lineman Matthew Masifilo (6-3, 265, 4.8) from `Ewa Beach (Hawai'i) Campbell and his team fell short of making the playoffs hence, he is setting up his official visits.
"I have set up my first visit to Oregon," Masifilo said. "I will be there for their homecoming game against Washington on November 4th."

"I have set up two others with probable dates but nothing is set in stone," Masifilo said. "For Cal I will possibly visit them the weekend of December 1st when they play Stanford in "the game."
"I'm tentatively scheduled to visit Stanford the week after on December 8th," Masifilo said. "Then I will head to Washington, but we have a date yet."
"I recently got a call from Tennessee and they want to see tape of my first three games this season," Masifilo said. "They know I have been hurt and missed most of the season after the first three games. If they like the film then Tennessee will want me to visit."
"I'm just going to take it day by day."
Before Masifilo was with a dislocated elbow, he and his Campbell teammates were undefeated. Since his injury Campbell fell on hard times and missed the playoffs.
Masifilo saw his stock rise because of a standout off-season. He competed and worked on his skills at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto, the Stanford football camp and the Just Win Camp held the Hawaiian Island of Maui.
Masifilo played primarily offensive line as a junior and earned second-team all-league honors.
Rivals.com rates Masifilo as the nation's No. 22 strongside defensive end prospect for the class of 2007. He also made the Rivals.com Hawaii top 20 team landing as the Aloha State's No. 2 prospect at any position.
