Hawaii OL could be states top prospect

Kaneohe (Hawaii) Castle lineman Solomon Koehler was selected to the early Rivals100 team and he definitely did not disappoint at the NIKE Combine in Oakland (Calif.) this past weekend.
Koehler made the long plane trip to the mainland to attend the combine and quickly showed why he should be considered among the elite offensive line prospects in the region.

The talented guard prospect measured in a solid 6-2.5, 300 pounds, clocked a 5.32-40, 4.81 in the shuttle, jumped 26 inches in the vertical and did 33 reps on the bench. The lineman actually wanted to scratch his 40 time before we explained how rare it is for a 300 pound lineman to run an electronic 40 time in the 5.3 range.
"I wanted to come out here and see how I stacked up against some other top players in the area," Koehler said. "Overall, I thought I did all right. I wasn't happy with my 40 time, I know I can do better, but I still enjoyed coming out here and competing."
On the recruiting front, Koehler has two offers on the table and said four schools top his list at this time.
"Colorado and Arizona have offered," Koehler said. "Those are two of my top schools along with Boise State and Arizona State. Colorado is probably my favorite right now but it's early and I want to go through the process and see how things play out before making a commitment anywhere."
