Havili makes his decision

He started with a table full of college hats and eventually narrowed things down to USC and BYU. Ever so slowly, Salt Lake City (Utah) running back Stanley Havili reached across the table, grabbed the USC hat and put it on his head announcing his commitment for the Trojans.
Havili, 6-1, 220 pounds and one of the nation's top fullback recruits chose USC after taking visits to BYU, Iowa and Arizona State. It was reported earlier in the day by a local newspaper in Utah that Havili had narrowed his choices to USC and ASU and the deciding factor would be whether or not he planned to go on his Mormon mission or not.

"I'm just going to focus on football," Havili said. "The coaches told me to come in and expect to play immediately and that's exciting to me. USC is just a great school, I mean what's not to like about the Trojans."
There is no secret that USC was looking for a power back to take the place of Lendale White who recently announced his intentions to enter the NFL Draft. Havili has the ability to play either as a true fullback or to be a primary ball carrier in the Trojans offense.
