Have Badgers offered Vinopal

Recently there have been some conflicting reports as to whether the Wisconsin coaching staff has actually extended an offer to a talented safety from the Buckeye State.
To clear things up, Rivals.com caught up with Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney safety Ray Vinopal himself. The 5-foot-10, 178-pound prospect was very candid about the recruiting process and where he stands with the Badgers.

"At this point I've got recent offers from Bowling Green and Kent State," Vinopal explained. "I guess it's been posted on a couple of sites that Wisconsin has offered me. Basically, their coach told me I'm definitely an offer guy for them. Right now their staff is on vacation, so they're going to get together on (July) 27 to discuss everything. I haven't officially gotten anything in writing yet but my recruiting coordinator says things are looking good."
With a grade point average of 4.5 and a 40-yard dash time that just about mirrors there, it's not surprise that many coaches find Vinopal an intriguing prospect.
Does he plan on taking any visits in the near future to do a little research on some schools?
"I was planning on playing that by ear," he explained. "I wanted to see how popular I was going to get so I'll know whether I was going to have all the offers I want. Then I was gonna go from there and choose where I wanted to visit.
"At this point I'm probably going to wait and take some visits during the year. Then hopefully I'll decide by the end of the season."
