Hattis likes a few schools

Three-star offensive tackle Henry Hattis has been on some college visits this spring and has seen numerous coaches swing through to see him in action.
It's all added up to the 6-foot-7, 265-pound prospect from Rio Rancho (N.M.) Cleveland sorting through his list of schools and mulling an end-of-summer decision.

"It's been pretty hectic lately," Hattis said. "It's all come on in the last two months. Coaches have been coming in to watch me practice and I've also been out to a couple schools to see them. It's all been great and a lot of fun."
Arizona State drew a visit for its spring game and Hattis picked up a scholarship offer from the Sun Devils while on campus.
"I'm very excited about ASU," Hattis said. "It was extremely incredible out there. I got to meet all the coaches, including coach (Todd) Graham. I really like it there.
"Coach (Chris) Thomsen is very honest with me and very truthful. They've both been very active and helpful in recruiting me. I'm very happy with them."
Oklahoma was scheduled to drop by his school this week and the Sooners would undoubtedly join the conversation for the lineman. Hattis already holds a few programs in high regard.
"Missouri is very active and they're very high on my list as well," Hattis said. "Texas Tech and Washington State have also offered and came in very early during the process. They're up there on my list right now. New Mexico is also up there in my top because it's close to home and it's a good school."
Hattis doesn't know where he'll go to next and he's not sure yet which official visits he would like to take this fall. Still, he said he's considering making a decision before the summer is over.
"I've talked to a few former players that have made it to the next level, and they've told me it was best for them to commit before the season so they could focus on the senior season," Hattis said. "It gets all the distractions out of the way, so I might do that. I'm still talking to coaches and seeing where they're at numbers wise. It might come down to offer availability and I'm going to consider all that."
