Hatcher was everywhere this summer

Hamilton, Ohio, three-star defensive end Charlie Hatcher has been busy, camping this week at Cincinnati and then scheduling an unofficial visit for this weekend at Miami of Ohio.
But the attention he's received this summer from the college coaches is well worth the long hours.

"Everything is going really good as of now," he said. "I've been getting around to a lot of other schools, even though summer is winding down. I've been getting around a little more, and I enjoy where I'm at with a lot of schools so I think it's going pretty good."
Along with those other visits, he made trips to Michigan and Ohio State's summer camps.
"I think I did real well at the camps," said Hatcher, who is 6-foot-2 and 266 pounds and ranked as the No. 30 player in Ohio by Rivals.com. "At Ohio State, I think I did even better. I was with a group of some of the more elite linemen and I think I did really well. Then at Michigan I ran a pretty decent 40 time of 4.81. I might go to Indiana still, but I'm running out of time because two-a-days start on the August 3."
When it comes to recruiting him the hardest, even though he has offers from Duke, Indiana, Maryland, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Miami of Ohio, he said it's two schools that have focused hard on him.
"Indiana is recruiting me hard and Miami is recruiting me real hard," he said. "I like how they're recruiting me. They make it clear they want me."
Hatcher said he wants to pick a school with a good engineering program, plus a place that has a good football tradition. But he admits education is at the top of the list.
"I'm down for traveling because I've got family everywhere," he said. "So location is not a big deal. I plan to commit sometime after the season."
