Haskins makes summer plans

Dinwiddie, Va. wide receiver Sam Haskins continues to hold two scholarships. The 6-foot-4, 199-pounder is garnering interest from a handful of other schools and is making plans for the summer.
"The May evaluation period was pretty good," he said. "I talked to a lot of different schools, Boise State, Maryland, Arkansas, Minnesota, ECU and North Carolina. I still have offers from Delaware and Minnesota.

"The only other school mentioning a possible offer is Arkansas. The rest of the colleges tell me to keep working hard and good things will happen."
In hopes of boosting his offer sheet, Haskins plans to hit the road this summer.
"I'm going to a bunch of one day camps," he said. "The first one I'm supposed to be going to is Virginia Tech on Saturday. I plan to go to Delaware, North Carolina, Maryland and Minnesota.
"I just want to see where these schools see me playing and how many other receivers they have. I've got to see if the place is right for me."
A few schools are standing out early for the Virginia prospect.
"I'm interested in Arkansas, Boise State, Maryland and Auburn," he said. "I feel like I'd fit pretty well at those schools. I like their style of play and how they play."
