Wisconsin landed a commitment long ago from the top offensive lineman in the state of Wisconsin, Andrew Kemp . There have been rumors that Eric VandenHeuvel has also committed to the Badgers.
"I haven't committed to Wisconsin," VandenHeuvel said.
"I'm mostly looking at Notre Dame, Madison, and Minnesota. And Northern Illinois. That's about it. Madison offered."
"I've been to Madison, Minnesota, and Notre Dame. It's hard to say which one I like best. They're all pretty good."
"I don't think I'll make anymore visits this summer."
"I guess I probably like Madison best because they were the first to offer. They have a nice program. It's a great school and it's close to home."
The 6-foot-7 and 330 pound VandenHeuvel has been a varsity starter at offensive tackle since his sophomore year. VandenHeuvel helped lead Hudson, Wis., to a 9-2 record during his junior season, though he did miss three games with a broken hand.
Vandenheuvel bench presses 390 pounds and squats 500. He has a 3.6 GPA and scored a 26 on the ACT.
