Has Ohio lineman committed

In recent weeks, Jordan Applegate, an offensive and defensive lineman from Fort Wayne (Ind.) Snider High, was rumored to have committed to a school. Now his high school coach is ready to put those rumors to rest.
“Jordan has an offer from Eastern Michigan and Ball State,” Snider coach Russ Isaacs said. “It’s my understanding that he plans to visit both of those schools before he makes a decision either way.”

Applegate was the lynchpin in Snider’s offensive and defensive line, helping open holes for one of Ohio’s emerging junior stars: tailback Quale Lewis. Despite breaking his ankle in the season’s ninth game, Lewis racked up 1,300 yards and 29 touchdowns, finishing with a touchdown one out of every four times he touched the ball.
Applegate was also a mentor for another junior star, 6-foot-6, 290 pound offensive lineman John Purdy.
“He (Purdy) graded out real well this year,” Isaacs said. “He’s a legit D-I prospect.”
Applegate has yet to announce when he will make his official visits.
