Has Meier made up his mind

Some rumors were swirling over the weekend that Pittsburg, Kan., quarterback Kerry Meier had made up his mind and given a verbal commitment to a Big 12 school.
“Kerry has not committed to Texas A&M or any other school,” Pittsburg coach Merle Clark said when asked about the speculation his standout had pledged to Dennis Franchione’s team. “He was wanting to get a commitment made before we started this year, but he changed his mind and wants to wait until we’re done now.”

Meier has offers from the Aggies in addition to Kansas and Kansas State from the Big 12 Conference. He also holds offers from Texas-El Paso and Tulsa.
“Kerry is excited about all of the offers and attention he has,” Clark said. “He just wants to be sure he is doing the right thing. He wants to take his official visits this fall and find the right place for him.”
Meier is also considering Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma State.
“There are several schools that are recruiting him and want to see him in action this fall. We’ll send out some film this year as our season gets going and schools can see him in action. As I’ve said before, Kerry has the talent to play at that level and schools will see that as they watch more film or see him in person.”
