Has Long firmed up his pledge to WVU

Rumor surfaced recently that four-star wide receiver Deon Long out of Washington (D.C.) Dunbar may be on the verge of a major scholarship. Rivals caught up with 6-foot-0, 175-pounder to find out more on the latest with his recruitment.
"Florida was talking about it, but they haven't offered," he said. "In fact, I've firmed up my commitment with West Virginia.

"I took one visit. I was thinking about trips to Maryland and Michigan State, but I'm solid now."
Long confirmed he is done with the recruiting process. What does he like about West Virginia?
"I like the fans, the atmosphere and the team," he said. "I like the fact they are taking an offense built around players for what they are trying to do.
"I really like Coach Beatty and Coach Galloway. They are just calling to check up on me and tell me I'm doing well. I like that they have opened what they are trying to do on offense. They are getting the tools with a pocket quarterback, not a running one to throw the ball downfield. They are getting players that can catch the ball too."
In one other note, Long announced he plans to enroll at West Virginia in January.
