Has Gaines phone been ringing

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop strongside defensive end Josh Gaines has been committed to Penn State for almost two months now. But with the September contact period in full swing, has his phone been ringing off the hook, or has it been quiet?
“It’s been a little bit of both,” Gaines, ranked as a three-star defensive end by Rivals.com, said. “But it’s been busier than it has been quiet.”

Gaines, who is 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, said he gets weekly calls from Penn State, Tennessee, Purdue, Michigan State and Marshall. So what does the Nittany Lion pledge tell them when he talks to these coaches?
“I always tell them that I’m committed to Penn State, but they still talk and talk and talk,” Gaines said. “It’s nice to know that they want you, but I still tell them that I’m committed.”
Gaines said he does not have plans at this time to take another other visits than to Penn State. He’s set to take an unofficial visit there for when PSU plays Ohio State.
“The deal was that I was not going to take other visits,” Gaines said. “That’s the deal.”
