Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt defensive end Derrick Harvey took his second official visit this weekend. So how did he like Ohio State?
"I liked it a lot, it was a good time," said the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder. "They have a big, big campus, great facilties and some really nice coaches. I was hosted by Jay Richardson and I think I could really fit into their defense."
Harvey likes the fact that Ohio State plays a 4-3 defense.
"I think that's the best defense for me," said the No. 8 player in the country. "I will probably top out at around 255 pounds and keep my speed, so rushing off the edge is for me. Maryland was a great visit as well, but they play a 3-4 defense so that's not as good a fit. However, Maryland is close to home which is an advantage."
Next up for Harvey is Florida on Jan. 16 and Tennessee on Jan. 23. He has a tentative visit set for Virginia on Jan. 30, but probably won't take it.
"Virginia is pretty much out for me," he said. "They play a 3-4 also and I don't think I need all five trips."
