Harris waiting on new schools

One of the nation’s top junior college running back recruits needs at least one more day to make up his mind when it comes to his college future. So what’s the latest with El Dorado (Kan.) Butler County Community College star Joseph Harris?
“Well, I was all ready to pick and decide between Wyoming, Troy State and Utah State on Monday or Tuesday of last week,” Harris said. “But then I got a call from Texas A&M. They weren’t sure if they had any mid-year scholarships still available, but they asked me told hold out at least until Monday to find out if they do or not.

“Then I also got a call from Purdue and Kentucky. They both said the same thing, so I guess I’m going to wait things out a day or two.”
Harris, who is 5-foot-9 and 215 pounds, has visited Troy State, Wyoming and Utah State, but has not visited either A&M, Kentucky or Purdue, but he hinted that if any one of those teams were to offer him a scholarship he might be willing to sign with one of them without even taking an official visit there to the school.
The first day that mid-term junior college recruits could sign was this past Wednesday.
