Harris sets new visit, has big leader

Yet another top Cali football star has set up a visit to Cal for the Bears monster weekend November 19 for the Big Game with Stanford. Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak defensive back Will Harris will be checking out the Bears and said the school has jumped up in to his top two.
Harris, 6-1, 190 pounds is the top rated safety in the West region and has natural free safety skills because of his excellent cover skills. In fact, some schools are even recruiting Harris as a corner although Harris definitely sees himself as a safety and that’s also where he wants to play in college.

The athlete took an official visit to Arizona State two weeks ago when the Sun Devils beat UCLA, his first visit of the year and said he had a great time.
“ASU really opened my eyes a lot,” Harris said. “I had a good time there and Tempe is a fun place. The coaches and players are real cool and it was fun going out with them after their game. The party’s were great and I just felt good there, like I really fit in well. They have a young team, their defense gave up a lot of points but they kept battling and I like how physical and aggressive they are. ”
Along with his visit to Cal, Harris will also visit Washington State (Dec. 10) and will take January trips to USC and UCLA.
“I’m really feeling USC right now,” Harris said. “That’s my school, they just have so much going for them, it’s close to home, they’re the top team in the country and I actually think I could play there early because they don’t have a lot of safety depth. SC and Cal are my top two right now and then UCLA and ASU are right behind them. Until I take all my trips, it’s tough to compare everyone and I definitely want to take all five before I make my decision. I don’t know when I’ll decide but it will likely be late January since I’ll be taking visits to SC and UCLA that month.”
