Harris ready for official visit No. 1

Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak defensive back Will Harris will take his first official visit of the year this weekend to see not just one but two of his top schools.
“I’m going to ASU this weekend,” Harris said. “I’m really looking forward to it, it should be a good time and I’ve heard a lot of great things about the city there and the campus itself. They’re playing UCLA so that should be a good game and a good opportunity for me to sit back and watch both teams.

“The only other visit I have set up right now is with Washington State for (Dec. 10). I really want to take all five of my trips and have USC, UCLA and Washington high on my list as well. All five are pretty equal. I know the two local schools really well since I’ve been to both before but it wouldn’t be right to name leaders when I have nothing to compare those two schools with. Once I take all my trips, then I’ll be able to figure out where the best place for me will be.”
Harris, 6-1, 190 pounds is one of the top 10 players in the state and a top five safety prospect nationally. He’s strong in run support but really excels in pass coverage and could even play cornerback in certain situations. It’s his ability to run and cover that sets him apart from other safeties we’ve seen this year.
