Harris plans to decide this month

BRADENTON, Fla. - Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough three-star outside linebacker Nigel Harris has narrowed his list of options to a trio of schools.
"Right now I have I think 10 or 11 offers and my top three right now is Vanderbilt, Indiana, and Purdue," Harris said. "Those are the three I am very interested in right now."

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defender is working to check out all three schools in-person.
"I have been to Vanderbilt," Harris said. "I am taking a visit to Purdue and Indiana this month."
The Central Florida defender recapped his previous visit to check out James Franklin's program at Vanderbilt.
"Vanderbilt is a very prestigious school where you will get a very good education at but they are coming up big in sports," Harris said. "That is two good things, in sport and academics, at the same time. That is key right there."
When he travels to the two Big Ten schools later this month he is looking to get a feel for what it is like to be a member of their football teams on and off the field.
"I want to learn how the team cooperates with one another and if they have good team chemistry," Harris said. "I do believe they are both academic schools. So I just want to see if their teams have good team chemistry."
At this stage of the process, the Sunshine State prospect has one school on top but says the other two will get a fair shot.
"Vanderbilt is my leader because I have been there," Harris said. "The other two will have their chance because I am about to visit them."
With regards to a decision, it will likely be made in the coming weeks.
"Yes, very close," Harris said when asked if he was close to a decision. "I will probably decide in July."
