Harris picks the Spartans

Jay Harris picked up an offer from Michigan State a couple of months ago and after doing all of his research he has decided he wanted to be a Spartan.
Temple, Pitt and Penn State were the other schools showing strong interest in Harris, and the 5-foot-11, 170-pound receiver from Exton (Pa.) Downington East admits that he looked into all of those schools.

Ultimately he settled on the Spartans and is very comfortable with his choice.
"I committed around 6:30 tonight," Harris said Monday evening. "I've had the offer for a couple of months now.
"From the first time I visited the campus I've loved it up there. I think it's a beautiful campus up there. I've also built a great relationship with the coaches -- Coach (Dave) Warner, Coach (Mark) Dantonio, and the wide receivers coach.
"From Day One I just got a good feel. I went to the one-day camp last week and saw how they were as coaches in action, as well as what a great educational system they have. They've got a great business program and that's what I'm looking to go into."
Last fall the Keystone State receiver caught 53 passes for 723 yards and 11 scores. He also returned both a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns.
