Harris names top five

Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame is one of the top teams in the West and is currently rated the No. 7 team in the state by CalHiSports.com. A big reason for that lofty ranking is because of two way standout Cary Harris, one of the most explosive players in the region.
Harris, 6-1, 170 pounds has been dominant on both sides of the ball the past two years and is a college prospect at both cornerback and running back. He earned first team all-state and Student Sports Junior All-American honors last season after rushing for 1,129 yards and 17 touchdowns to go along with 73 tackles and two picks on defense.

On the recruiting front, Harris is one of the most heavily recruited athletes in the West and will have his choice of just about any school in the region.
"I have offers from everyone in the Pac 10 except Stanford and along with Nebraska, Notre Dame and Michigan," Harris said. "I haven't been home much so I've missed a lot of phone calls. The only schools I've talked with are Washington State and Cal.
"Right now, my top five is Cal, USC, Washington State, UCLA and Notre Dame. I haven't set up any of my trip dates yet, I'll do that later in the year. I'm not looking to make an early decision right now, my plan is to take all my trips and then commit closer to Signing Day."
