Harris lands first ACC offer

Romello Harris has been talking to the Duke coaching staff for a while and finally the Blue Devils came through with an offer this past weekend.
The 2016 three-star running back from Tulare (Calif.) Tulare Union is definitely excited about his newest offer and will clearly take a closer look at the Blue Devils.

It's still early but Harris has a lot of interest in the up-and-coming ACC program.
"I've been talking to them for a while," Harris said of the Duke coaches. "I've been talking to them since the first day of my junior year and they've wanted me to call and they've asked about my games and checked up on me.
"Coach (Jeffrey) Faris told me to call him and he gave me the number and he said the running backs coach has something to tell me and he said they want to offer a full-ride scholarship to Duke University. They said they were able to do that because I have pretty good grades."
Harris, a 5-foot-10, 173-pound prospect, now has offers from Duke, Colorado, Washington State and Air Force.
The 2016 prospect said he likes how the Duke football team is playing and he'll definitely be serious about the Blue Devils because of the school's academic prestige.
"Especially that they're high on academics I'm definitely going to check them out now that they've offered," Harris said.
There is plenty of interest coming in so Harris said he's going to take his time with the recruiting process.
USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon are the four programs that have mainly gotten involved since his junior season started. At this point, Harris said he doesn't have any favorites and remains open to all teams.
