Harris is wide open

GILMER, Texas - Things have started quickly for junior cornerback/receiver Lamar Harris, like his two junior teammates, who are quickly becoming the most heavily recruited 2008 prospects in East Texas.
The humble Harris though is more focused on his junior season rather than just recruiting. Baylor has already come through with an offer but he's been talking to a host of other schools about some others.

"Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, and Kansas State are all showing me interest," Harris said. "They're all about even to me though."
The Bears, having jumped on the scene first with their offer, have definitely caught the eye of Harris
"I didn't expect them to be first, I can say that," Harris said. "I guess they really liked what they saw in me. I'm not deciding any time soon though. Whichever school offers me, I'm excited about it right now."
As a team, despite the undefeated record so far, Harris says they can improve on the field as a whole.
"We've gotten better each game, but we're not exactly where we need to be yet," Harris said. "We're just working on being more explosive as one unit. Every game, we just want to perform to the best of our abilities."
