Harris impressed with Stoops, Wright

Alexandria, La., safety/outside linebacker Nic Harris is taking an honest and down-to-earth approach to the recruiting process. So when he took his official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, he made sure to not get too caught up in the emotion and excitement that many players get when they take their first official visit.
“Everything was great,” Harris, who is 6-foot-2 and 208 pounds, said. “I had a really nice time. Brodney Pool was my player host. We went out to a party after the game, and he showed me around the town and I got to meet a whole lot of people.”

Harris, ranked as the nation’s No. 12 safety by Rivals.com, said he liked what he saw from the Sooners on the field.
“I was impressed how they came out and performed,” Harris said. “The way they dominated really left a good impression on me.”
Harris did spend some time also talking to coach Bob Stoops and defensive end coach Bobby Jack Wright, who is recruiting him for the Sooners.
“We had a real nice what conversation,” Harris said in reference to his talk with coach Stoops. “He’s a down to earth guy. He’s very intelligent. I also liked talking to coach Wright. He really sounded like he knew what he was talking about.”
Harris is scheduled to next visit Texas A&M. He’s following that up with visits to Michigan on October 29, LSU on November 19 and Nebraska on November 26.
