Harris big on Pac-12 offer

Romello Harris has been talking to the Washington coaches for a while and finally the Huskies decided to come through with an offer late last week.
It is definitely a major one for the 2016 three-star running back from Tulare (Calif.) Tulare Union because he camped at Washington this past summer and loves the new coaching staff.

Harris, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect, plans to take another trip to the Pac-12 school in the coming months for what could be a really important junior day.
"I've been talking to the coaches for a while probably one of the longest or second-longest that I've been talking to a coach so it's been a long time," Harris said.
"It's probably the biggest offer I've gotten. I really like the coaching staff. I went to their camp and I really like the coaches and how they coach and I like Seattle. I just want to go up there and take another visit.
"I'll probably get up there for the junior day in February. I don't know the exact date but I'll try to get up there for the junior day."
So far, the 2016 three-star prospect has been offered by Washington, Air Force, Colorado State, Duke and Washington State.
There is new interest coming in from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Northwestern but Harris is unsure if other offers are close.
The upcoming trip to Washington could be crucial. Harris said if things go really well he would seriously consider an early commitment but first he wants to visit, check things out and then he will decide from there.
"The first thing I want to do is take the visit," Harris said. "If I like it then I'll probably commit."
In his junior season, Harris finished with 2,561 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns.
