Harper taking Big 12 visit

Pflugerville (Texas) Connally defensive end Chase Harper picked up his first scholarship offer several weeks ago from Baylor and this weekend, he's heading to check out the Big 12 school.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defender says that with one offer in hand, he's also hearing from Colorado State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, LSU, and Kansas State. One of those schools have talked about an offer and he'll be visiting another this weekend.

"I'm probably going up to Baylor this Saturday," Harper said. "I just want to go and see how the campus is and stuff since they've offered."
Harper says that Kansas State is a school that has turned up the interest.
"They've talked about wanting to offer me," Harper said. "They're going to come down here for spring football."
Harper says he's not going to rush a decision no matter how quickly more offers enter the picture.
He's also taking the time to learn a new spot on the field.
"They've got me playing some receiver now," Harper said. "We start spring football in about two weeks, so I'm doing that and defensive end. I really don't know what it's going to be like yet."
