Harper still holds one offer

Pflugerville (Texas) Connally defensive end Chase Harper holds just one scholarship offer from the Big 12 but with the way things are going, there could be more coming.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder is currently working hard on the basketball court and watching the recruiting mail come in heavily. Schools such as LSU, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are all showing interest. However, Baylor, the school that offered first, is the current leader.

"Well Baylor is because they like me for basketball and football," Harper said. "I probably want to both, but I don't know yet."
Harper says that he's possibly looking at junior day or unofficial visit stops at Oklahoma State, Kansas, and Texas Tech in the upcoming weeks. He's already been to Texas A&M and enjoyed his time in College Station.
"A&M went really well, it was really nice," Harper said. "I liked the campus and the facilities they've got there. The coaches want me to take my SAT and probably play tight end there. I think I could do that and would have an advantage because I'm a good blocker. Plus, I've got soft hands."
Harper says he plans to make his decision during his senior year.
