Harper headed to Boise State

Houston (Texas) Cypress Creek running back D.J. Harper was welcomed with open arms during his visit to Boise State last weekend.
That was all it took for Harper to make up his mind and deliver a decision.

"I loved the visit," Harper said. "I've committed to Boise State and look forward to getting up there."
Harper (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) rushed for 1,555 yards and 21 touchdowns during his senior year. He also returned kicks, caught balls out the backfield and played a little defense.
Harper is looking forward to taking those talents to the out-of-state school.
"I know it's far and I really didn't know what to expect when I got there," Harper said. "They love that team up there. It's like your a celebrity."
Harper was being recruited as a running back, defensive back and receiver, but Boise State project him at his natural position of running back. Former NFL quarterback and Baylor alum Brent Pease recruited Harper.
