Harnett Central has two more getting DI looks

Rodney Cox and Kevin Snelling are the stars at Angier (N.C.) Harnett Central, but two other players are getting Division I looks. One if offensive tackle David McKennan and the other is wide receiver Jacques Gray.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound McKennan is getting quite a few looks.

"The ACC schools and lots of Division I-AA schools are coming in and checking him out. East Carolina also is considering offering," Harnett Central head coach Marc Morris said. "The thing about him is that he grew in the past year from 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-6 and still runs a 4.8 40-yard dash or so.
"He's a very strong player that benches 330-pounds and has long arms. He also has a lot of room to get bigger. I think he'll get really big once he heads off to college and could certainly put on 40-pounds and you wouldn't even see it."
Harnett's other star prospect is also on offense in 5-foot-11, 180-pound wide receiver Gray.
"He's got size and athletic ability," he said. "He runs an extremely fast 40-yard dash and is strong. He definitely has the body to play college football because he's a physical receiver. He also does a good job on run blocking for us.
"On top of that, he's a great kid that already has the grades with a 3.2 GPA. I think he still could grow because his brother is a 6-foot-4 basketball player for Virginia Tech.
"I think whoever gets him will get a very talented athlete that can develop into a special player. The real drawback right now with him is nobody knows him since this is only his second year playing football."
Gray is seeing similar interest to McKennan from schools like North Carolina State, East Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest and Division I-AA schools.
