Harley hits 10 offers

Mount Dora (Fla.) athlete Vegas Harley continues to land new offers as his spring progresses. This past week, he hit a benchmark of sorts when his offer list moved into double digits.
"I just got an offer from Indiana," Harley said. "Louisville also just came in here to see me. A lot of colleges have been in recently. It has been a busy spring."

The Hoosiers are joined by Florida International, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Iowa State, Memphis, South Alabama, South Florida, Temple, and Washington State on his offer list. At this stage, he is still researching all of the schools and in the early stages of sorting things out.
"I am just taking it one step at a time, baby steps," Harley said. "I am not going to rush it. I am going to take my time and see where is best for me. I am researching each and every school and just trying to find a place that fits me the best."
One factor that will play into the 6-foot-0, 180-pound athletes decision is where he will line up at the next level.
"It depends, a lot of them want to see me at camps or in action," Harley said. "A lot have told me they are going to give me a chance at quarterback, which is good, that is what I want. Others are looking at me for another position with some wanting me on offense, touching the ball, while others will put me on defense. It just depends on where they need me."
This summer Harley is hoping to camp at Miami, South Florida, and other local schools. Distance will likely play a factor in his final decision.
"I would like to stay closer to home if that is a possible," Harley said.
As a junior, Harley threw for 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,837 yards and 15 touchdowns.
