Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy running back Derrick Milton made his selection earlier this evening. The three-star tailback decided to head south to the SEC.
"I committed tonight to Mississippi State," he said. "I talked to Coach Mullen and Coach Knox.
"Oh man, they were happy to get me it sounded like. It was good. I feel really good about it and I feel like it is the right place for me. I felt at home and they made me feel like family, I appreciate that."

The decision is coming just a day after Milton returned from his official.
"I just started thinking about how good of a time I had and what am I waiting on, why not get it over with, so I did what I had to do," he stated. "The visit was big, it actually left a lasting impression on me and is the best place for me.
"They are building a program and I like how I was treated on the official. They treated me like a player and they've always kept their word on everything. I trust everything they can tell me, that's great."
Overall, Milton is thrilled with his choice.
"I'm happy and glad I made a decision," he said. "Now I can just focus on my academics and finish off school before heading down to Starkville in June."
