Hargrave OL makes a decision

Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy offensive guard Thomas Pizzurro made his decision last week. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder gave his pledge despite not visiting the school to date.
"I talked to my coaches and decided I wanted to verbally commit by the end of the season," he said. "I knew where I was going and that was Kent State.

"I committed on Thursday, the night before our game. The recruiting process was becoming too much. The coaches there were happy for me and saying it was a good school. They really wanted me."
What made Pizzurro pick Kent State without visiting?
"It was my first offer and they were showing me the most interest," he said. "I felt wanted. I also feel I have a good chance of playing early. That had a big effect on my decision. I just wanted to make up my mind."
Pizzurro held offers from Temple and Western Carolina as well.
