Hardin ready to check out Cincinnati

The talent this year in the Gateway City is hard to ignore and another prospect in St. Louis (Mo.) Gateway Tech running back Sterling Hardin who is ready to take a trip in a couple of weeks.
Though he has yet to receive his first scholarship offer, the 5-foot-9, 197-pound Hardin is ready to take an unofficial visit to Cincinnati on Oct. 22 and hopefully get his recruitment kick started with an offer.

"It's just the environment up there," Hardin said about the Bearcats. "I went up there during the first days of spring practice. I just liked the environment and the coaches. They gave me a tour around the facility and I watched them practice."
Iowa State could also be a school to jump in with an offer.
"I'm hopefully going to get an offer from them," Hardin said. "I watched them play Nebraska a few weeks ago and I liked their performance. One of my coaches here is friends with some of the guys who recruit this area."
Kansas State and Northwestern are also sending mail to Hardin's home. That has him thinking about future trips to both of those schools as well.
"Those two along with Iowa State are the next trips I want to take," he said. "Hopefully I'll have those done after football season and I can make a decision. At least, that's what I'm trying to do."
