Hard hitting safety has favorite

Defensive back Patrick Chung (6-0, 190, 4.4) from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has worked very hard in the off-season getting himself ready for his senior season. The talented player from Rancho Cucamonga attended camps at Oregon State and Colorado State improving his skills.
Chung enjoyed his stays at both camps but he really has a soft spot for Oregon State.

“I really liked Oregon State,” Chung said. “I liked the whole package at Oregon State. I liked the campus, the town, I liked everything including the food.”
“I really liked the coaches, they were really cool, but at the same time they wanted to teach us,” Chung said. “Basically this coaching staff was able to put the fun in it even though they were very focused on their job.”
“I also liked Colorado State a lot, too,” Chung said. “Like Oregon State I liked the Ram coaching staff. They are really cool, too.”
Camps weren’t the only place Chung was working on his skills. He improved his bench press from 240 to 270, his squat from 440 to 480. He also sports a nifty 32-inch vertical jump.
The scouting report on Chung is he has the ability to play all four defensive back positions. He has great closing speed and he’s very aggressive.
Chung is an outstanding hitter and when he plays safety he’s excellent in run support. He forced two fumbles and was second on his team in tackles with 78. He also picked off four passes and was selected all-league as a junior.
Besides Oregon State and Colorado State, Chung has an offer from Wyoming and is getting interest from UCLA and USC.
