Hard-hitting LB sets trips

One of the most active defenders in the Southern California area is three-star linebacker Isaiah Cook (6-3, 195, 4.6) from League Champ Claremont, Calif. Cook could end up playing safety on the next and has played some free safety for Claremont.
Cook’s defensive prowess is one of the reasons that Claremont was able to rebound from a slow start to win five straight games to capture the Baseline League crown.

Before last Friday’s game Cook had racked up 81 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks and three picks.
“I think Isaiah is one of the top defensive players around recruiting wise,” Claremont head coach Michael Collins said. “He has great quickness, speed and boy can he hit.”
“Isaiah is a very versatile player who fit a lot of needs for a team,” Collins said. “He could end playing linebacker or safety on the collegiate level, it depends on a teams needs.”
According to Collins it looks like Cook has his five visits ready to be lined up.
“Isaiah has three trips set,” Collins said. “He has a date set for Colorado State on December 5th. Colorado and Oregon will get visits but the dates aren’t set yet.”
Fresno State and San Diego State are front runners the last two trips.
