Hard-hitting JC looking for love

Three-star linebacker Alain Karatepeyan (6-2, 245, 4.58) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Pierce Junior College is a player who could help a team down the road. His recruitment slowed down a bit since he couldn't graduate in December but he is a mature player with skills.
"I know colleges wanted me by December," Karatepeyan said. "But I have already been with a D-I school (Boise State) and know what it takes to succeed on that level."

"All a school would need to do is give me the workout plan and the playbook and will be ready by the time I get there in the summer."
Karatepeyan is still garnering interest from UCLA, USC, Northwestern, Kansas State and Houston. Don't be surprised if some of the new coaching regimes around the country start to go hard on him.
Before the Holidays, Karatepeyan received a phone call from former USC coach and now head coach of Ole Miss, Ed Orgeron.
Karatepeyan was a destroyer of offenses as a sophomore. He had 70 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, one pick and one blocked punt.
On one of his fumble recoveries Karatepeyan scooped it up and ran forty yards for a touchdown.
In game against California juco powerhouse, Bakersfield, Karatepeyan forced four fumbles and had his blocked punt. It was his performance that was the cornerstone in his team's upset of Bakersfield 17-8.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Pierce coach David Banuelos had the following to say about his prize linebacker.
"Alain was being recruited by everyone coming out of Chatsworth (Calif.) high school," Banuelos said. "The whole Pac-10 was showing interest until he tore his ACL his senior year."
"As a football player, Alain is ferocious, he's an absolute monster," Banuelos said. "He has a non-stop motor and he's a playmaker."
Karatepeyan will have three years to play three.
