Hansen set for first visit

Sacramento (Calif.) Sheldon linebacker Tom Hansen will take his first official visit this weekend and has two more set up in January. The athlete has also hosted a trio of schools on in-home visits this past week.
Hansen, 6-2, 230 pounds is known by most recruiting fans as the player who smashed the SPARQ Rating record at the Nike camp in Stanford last May. Hansen clocked a 4.62 in the 40, 4.48 in the shuttle, jumped 38 inches in the vertical and did 46 reps on the bench and his rating of 112.4 is one we're not sure will be touched any time soon.

Hansen had a solid senior season totaling 73 tackles and eight sacks. He has bounced around between linebacker and defensive end but is being recruited primarily as a linebacker.
On the recruiting front, the athlete will take his official visit this weekend to Nevada
"He also has Northwestern set up for (Jan. 6) and Oregon State for (Jan. 13)," Hansen's mother Barbara Edwards said. "All three schools have come in for home visits this week as well. Coach Gilstrap at Oregon State, Coach Dunbar from Northwestern and Coach Sacks from Nevada. Coach Riley at Oregon State will be here next Friday."
