Hannaford commits to Wildcats

Palmetto (Fla.) offensive lineman Kane Hannaford has made his college choice.
“I’m going to Kentucky,” he said. “When I sat down and talked about things with my family, I just felt like that was the best fit for me. I felt more at home with their players than any of the other schools, and the coaching staff -- coach Brooks and coach Dunn and the recruiting coach, coach Caragher -- were all really nice. They showed a lot to my family when they were down here to visit.

"I feel like they have an opportunity to come in and help them right away. They needed some depth on the O-Line. Plus, the chance to play in the SEC was a big factor. It's definitely the top conference in the country, and the chance to play against people like LSU, the national champion, will be fun.”
Hannaford (6-6, 335, 5.4) chose the Wildcats over N.C. State and South Florida. He had visited all three schools in recent weeks.
